Planning a Beach Wedding? 5 tips to keep in mind when planning your dream wedding
A dreamy beach wedding can be absolutely gorgeous, and totally worth it!
There are definitely a few things you will want to keep in mind when you are planning a beach wedding, and we are here to help (as much as an advice post can help….but feel free to email us any questions too!)
North Topsail Beach Spring Wedding
When this lovely couple first contacted me, I knew their wedding day was going to be truly special. They put so much thought into every detail, and it absolutely showed! They chose to get married on the beach in North Topsail with a reception following at St. Regis Resort.
Floral Design Recommendations for a Wedding in Topsail
We’re just going to come out and say it: a wedding just isn’t complete without at least a few flowers!
Preferably, a lot of flowers, but that’s just me.
Thankfully, we have some great options for floral designers near us in Surf City and Topsail Island.
While I know there are more options with talented designers, especially in the Wilmington and Jacksonville area, I am going to list the three that I have worked with often and can personally speak about. Not only is the quality of their work fantastic, but their professionalism and enthusiasm for all things floral really shines every time I work with them.
Surf City / Topsail Beach Couples Session
….with a dog!
I have said it before, but it is worth repeating: we are so fortunate to have so many amazing visitors to our little island! This gorgeous couple visited from Tennessee in September and we were so glad to meet them!
We met first out on the beach, with their perfect pup Remi, and then headed to SoundSide Park in Surf City to catch the sunset!
Surf City and Topsail Beach Engagement Session
We are so excited for this sweet couple!! They are both first responders for the Wilmington NC Fire Department, and have been planning their wedding for some time, but COVID. Their wedding was put on hold for so many reasons beyond their control but it is finally happening next month!
Flat Lay Design for Your Wedding
We love using flat lay design when photographing wedding details, it is a great way to showcase an invitation suite, ceremony programs, the rings, other jewelry, as well as those special something new, old, borrowed, and blue trinkets. SO much planning goes into your wedding day, years from now you want to be able to enjoy all those sweet details when you flip through your wedding album. We know this, and that is why we work to capture both traditional detail photographs and take the time to create a beautifully designed flat lay with some of your details too.
Summer Color Palettes
Since we are currently in the stage of summer that some people call “the dog days of summer” or more accurately “H#ll’s Front Porch” (excuse the language there!)—I thought I’d interrupt with a few bold, bright color palette options for anyone who wants to beautifully sweat it out with an event in August.
Drumroll Please….
The new website is LIVE!! Finally. Gahhhh I understand cameras and apertures and pixels and color theory sooo much better than I know websites and coding and all that STUFF. But I made it through this very challenging stage. Hahaaa JOKING. Really though, it may easier to get through a busy hurricane season on a barrier island in NC or take 20 hungry toddlers’ portraits AT THE SAME TIME than it was for me to design a new website and switch hosting platforms.
