Since we are currently in the stage of summer that some people call “the dog days of summer” or more accurately “Hell’s Front Porch” (excuse the language there!)—I thought I’d interrupt with a few bold, bright color palette options for anyone who wants to beautifully sweat it out with an event in August.

For what it’s worth, my husband and I got married in the Florida Keys on an unseasonably hot day in early spring where the resort reception venue struggled to keep the air cool enough on that day only and it did not matter in the least — we were having way too much fun to notice. And I sweat out a few extra pounds dancing as a bonus!

Don’t be scared to have a wedding when its hot out:

1. because weather is unpredictable

and

2. just realize that on any given day it could be too hot, or too cold, or possibly rainy, so if you wrap your mind around the “what ifs” you can’t control, then you will be able to create a solid plan for your ceremony no matter what the weather brings!

So if you love July and August, and maybe that is the only time you have vacation days and can make it happen— go for it. It will be amazing, maybe even more so because SUMMER.
